This is a Sylvac jug, pattern number 1580. It might be called Daisy or it might be called Dahlia. It's pretty vile. I rescued it from a charity shop because I have a butter dish in the same pattern. I once decided I was going to become the sort of woman who uses real butter and to achieve this I needed a butter dish. I was inexplicably drawn to this on ebay...
Unfortunately the previous owner had obviously used it as an ash tray and it smells vile as well as looks vile. Win win. As a consequence I never became the sort of woman who uses real butter. A bit of googling reveals that this daisy/dahlia pattern also comes in other vile colours...
